There are bears in the area but have not seen any lately. No killer whales either as there are no salmon this early in the year and that's what they feed on. Still getting TV reception as long as we have a clear view of the southern sky. No phone service here. We keep seeing the same boats every few days as we must all be heading in the same general direction. One other thing. The nights are really, really, really dark out here. Especially if the sky is over cast. See ya, Russ, Pat, Maddie

If you snag some crabs, take a picture of 'em for me.
ReplyDeleteWe're all holding together at the store. They just came out with this new teammate review process and, in CQ's finest tradition of going off half-cocked, only provided us with half the material to complete the process. Typical, huh?
I called Kim in HR and she was totally oblivious to the missing material which appearently means no one else in our region caught the mistake... And I'm only about a week late in getting these reviews done. Hahaha!
I stopped by my folks place last night to drop off my mom's Mother's Day gift (a little late, Oops!). On the way out the door my mom asked how the new position was treating me. I said it was fine. About the same as the old one, just a lot more paperwork and a few more late nights at the store. My dad then chimed in and asked if you had told me about all this while I was training.
I told him that you did not and why would you? You were wanting to leave; wanting to get your replacement installed. Why would you scare me off with horror stories and such. :) We had a good chuckle at that. It's really not all that bad. Besides, the last paycheck had a little more meat on its bones. That made the late nights worth it.
Russ, if you ever want to catch up with where I've taken my bike, check out my blog, The Path Less Traveled.
Cadillac Jack came by the store today. He asked how you were and if we'd heard from you. I pulled up your blog and let him take a look and showed him the map and where you're at.
ReplyDeleteHe told me to tell you that you must go fishing at River's Inlet seeings how you guys are just around the corner. He says Hi, too.
